Fall and the beginning of the school year influence KAP
Art’s workflow. I suppose when all of our children are out of school, college
included, we wont be as in tune to the school year calendar. The youngest child
among us is entering high school, and assuming he attends college that puts us
at eight more years for school timeline association. If our past years together
at KAP Art are any indication, those years will go by quickly. Although our
kids will be moving on, our relationships with the schools and fall events will
continue.
We are once again heavy into apparel sales for several
of the local high schools. The demand is high for sweatshirts boasting school
names and school spirit, as well as team spirit packs for a number of the fall
sports. The incoming high school freshman seem especially anxious to sport
their new gear, no longer part of the middle school crowd.
Another fall event we are involved with is the McKenzie RiverTrail Run (MRTR). The MRTR is a 50k trail run that takes place along the
McKenzie River. A 50-mile distance was added this year to celebrate 25 years
of the race, which originally began as a 50 miler. We have designed and ordered
beanies as part of the runners swag (gifts the runners receive for
participating in the run). We also designed wine labels for their “McKenzie
River Red” blended wine, bottled last November. Yes, runners even get a bottle
of wine!
