Sheldon Athletics, Dinner & Auction

Friends of Sheldon High school are preparing for their 2nd Annual Athletics Dinner and Auction, a benefit for all Sheldon athletic programs and clubs. It was originally created to raise money to put a cover over the grandstand and was so successful it’s back to help provide athletic funds where there are short falls.

The Dinner/Auction sounds like a lot of fun. EssigEntertainment will coordinate the event and Mac’s Custom Catering will provide the food. Studio 5 is the venue, an open space, better yet a blank canvas left to the creation of the organizers. Businesses, and individuals have donated many auction items to both the silent and the oral auction.  My favorite, auction item would have to be seven nights lodging at a Gold Crown Resort Time Share, including two roundtrip airline tickets (within the continental United States) to get you there. Gold Crown has resorts all over the world as well as within the USA, from Arizona to Georgia to Wyoming, and most states in between. Another favorite auction item up for bid is an Olympic poster signed by Ashton Eaton, our very own Oregon Olympian, and U of O Alum.

KAP Art has been instrumental in designing the posters, tickets, and programs as well as beautifully painted wineglasses for the auction. Our connection to Sheldon High School runs deep, and we are always happy to give a little in support of the school.
